Spring Day 1 September 2014

Happy Spring day!

This morning when I sat up in bed reading the Bible, out of the corner of my eye I saw the son coming up over the mountains. The first sunrise of spring is what goes through my mind, a new day, a renewal, a new beginning.

I jump out of bed with new courage, ready to face all the things this day will throw my way. I open all the windows because fresh air is what we need, brrr, but there is still a bit of a chill in the air! Must be the snow that fell on the mountain tops last week, but I am determined to make the most of this spring day.

Then it hits me, every day is a new day. Every morning when we open our eyes it is another opportunity to try again, to be better than who or what we were yesterday.

But there is only one way to do this. We need to pray more, we need to read our Bible more and we need to be prepared to go where God leads us, even if it is the small winding road with nearly no one else on the footpath.

Romans 12:2 “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.”

As every spring comes around to paint the world around us with beautiful flowers and new growth on the trees, my wish for everyone of you today is a renewing within yourself.

Let us do everything we have to do today for the glory of God. 1 Corinthians 10:31 “So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.”

And don’t forget to pray today because God didn’t forget to wake you up this morning!
